Ingredients:

  • 15.25 oz box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan thoroughly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the 15.25 oz chocolate cake mix, 1 cup water, 0.5 cup oil, and 3 eggs. Whisk 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and glossy.
  3. Gently stir in the 0.5 cup semi sweet chocolate chips and 0.5 cup peanut butter chips.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly using a spatula.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the 8 oz softened cream cheese, 0.5 cup melted butter, 0.5 cup peanut butter, and 1 tsp vanilla extract until velvety and pale.
  6. Gradually add the 3 cups of powdered sugar. Mix on low speed until no white streaks remain.
  7. Drop large spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the raw cake batter.
  8. Sprinkle the 1 cup of chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups over the top.
  9. Place in the center of the oven. Bake for 40 minutes until the edges have pulled away from the pan.
  10. Remove from the oven and let sit on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes. Wait until the center has slumped and set before serving.
