Ingredients:

  • 6 ripe blood oranges (about 1.5 pounds / 680 grams)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional, adjust to taste; can substitute with agave syrup or maple syrup)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Roll each blood orange on the countertop to loosen the juice.
  2. Cut the oranges in half.
  3. Use the citrus juicer to extract juice from each half.
  4. Optional: Strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds.
  5. If using, add honey and lemon juice to the blood orange juice; stir until well combined.
  6. Pour juice into a pitcher or individual glasses filled with ice.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
