Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup honey or agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese or whipped mascarpone
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup green grapes, on the stem
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 sliced crisp apple or pear
  • 1 cup pretzel twists
  • 1/2 cup roasted salted almonds
  • 15 pieces buttery crackers or shortbread cookies
  • 6 oz dark chocolate chunks or sea-salt chocolate squares
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows or colorful macarons
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots or dried figs

Instructions:

  1. Place three small bowls on the board in a non-linear, triangular pattern. Fill them with the honey, salted caramel, and cream cheese to act as structural anchors.
  2. Arrange larger items—the grape stems, sliced apples, and piles of crackers—weaving them between the bowls to create organic 'rivers' of food across the board.
  3. Tuck the blueberries, strawberries, and chocolate chunks into the remaining open spaces.
  4. Scatter the almonds and pretzels in the smallest crevices to ensure no part of the wooden board is visible.
  5. Finish by dotting the marshmallows or macarons on top for a pop of color and height.
