Ingredients:

  • 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling (595g)
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix (432g)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted (113g)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix over the cherry pie filling, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
  4. Slowly drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. Try to cover all of the cake mix.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your chocolate cherry dump cake!
