Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
- 1 teaspoon (5g) sugar
- 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
- ¾ cup (180ml) warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1 cup (240g) pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup (50g) sliced pepperoni (or toppings of choice)
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese, or any other preferred toppings
Instructions:
- Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
- Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place in an oiled bowl; cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, until doubled.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 450°F/232°C) and place the pizza stone on the grates to heat.
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal parts.
- Roll out each piece on a floured surface into a round shape (about 12 inches in diameter).
- Transfer the rolled dough to a floured pizza peel; spread sauce evenly and sprinkle cheese and toppings on top.
- Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated stone in the grill. Close the lid and cook for 10-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Remove the pizza from the grill with the peel; let cool for a minute, garnish with basil, slice, and enjoy!
