Ingredients:
- 2 (5-ounce) cans tuna in water, drained well
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 slices of your favourite bread
- Optional: Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, or cucumber slices
Instructions:
- Drain the tuna really well. Flake it in the mixing bowl with a fork.
- Add the chopped celery and red onion to the bowl.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the dressing over the tuna and veggies. Gently mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Have a taste! Adjust the seasoning (salt, pepper, lemon juice, or mustard) to your liking.
- Spread the tuna salad evenly on two slices of bread. Top with optional lettuce, tomato, or cucumber. Add the remaining slices of bread.
