Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) Ketchup
  • 2-4 tablespoons (30-60ml) Prepared Horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) Hot Sauce
  • Pinch of Salt (to taste)
  • Pinch of Black Pepper (freshly ground, to taste)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, add the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
  2. Whisk until all ingredients are fully combined and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more horseradish for heat, lemon juice for brightness, or ketchup for sweetness.
  4. For best flavour, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld. This also allows the horseradish to mellow slightly.
  5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
