Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee (about 85g)
  • 4 cups cold water (1 liter)
  • Milk or dairy-free alternative (optional, to taste)
  • Sweetener (sugar, simple syrup, or honey, optional, to taste)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. In a large jar or pitcher, add 1 cup coarsely ground coffee and 4 cups cold water.
  2. Gently stir the mixture to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated.
  3. Cover the jar with a lid and place it in the refrigerator or at room temperature. Let it steep for 12 to 24 hours, depending on your taste preference.
  4. After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid.
  5. Pour the cold brew concentrate over ice and dilute with milk or water to your desired strength. Sweeten if desired.
  6. Leftover cold brew can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
