  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced (150 g)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Maple syrup (optional)
  • Extra strawberries, sliced for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturers instructions.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the diced strawberries with a rubber spatula until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour batter into the preheated waffle iron, using the recommended amount for your machine. Cook until golden brown (approximately 3-5 minutes).
  7. Carefully remove the waffles and serve hot, topped with whipped cream, maple syrup, and additional strawberries if desired.
