Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) Yellow Mustard
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Honey
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • Pinch of Kosher Salt

Instructions:

  1. In the saucepan, whisk together the yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove from heat and taste the sauce. Adjust the sweetness, tang, or spice levels to your liking. Add more brown sugar for sweetness, vinegar for tang, or cayenne pepper for heat.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
