Ingredients:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup water or brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the dry chocolate cake mix evenly across the bottom of the dish.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk and water (or coffee) over the powder without stirring.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the entire surface and use a fork to gently poke a few holes to help the butter sink in.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips across the top.
- Bake on the middle rack for 35 to 40 minutes, until edges are bubbling and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Remove from the oven and let the cake rest for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the center to set.
