- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs, finely chopped (such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, basil)
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste, optional)
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
Instructions:
- Mince the garlic cloves finely.
- Finely chop the fresh herbs.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped herbs, balsamic vinegar, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, give the dip another stir. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve this olive oil bread dip with crusty bread for dipping.
