Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp granulated white sugar
  • 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe vessel, stir together the melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until the sugars have mostly dissolved. Stir in the vanilla and milk until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed and press the dough down slightly to flatten the top.
  3. Microwave on HIGH for 45 to 60 seconds. Stop the timer when the edges look set and matte, but the center still looks slightly wet and shiny.
  4. Let the cookie stand undisturbed for 60 to 90 seconds to allow the center to set. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
