  • 1/2 cup (115g) maple syrup
  • 1 cup (100g) almond flour
  • 1 cup (170g) dark chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup of peanut butter, maple syrup, and almond flour until a thick, cohesive dough forms.
  3. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan using the back of a spoon until the surface is smooth.
  4. Place dark chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  5. Microwave on high in 20-second intervals, stirring vigorously between sessions, until the chocolate is smooth and glossy.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base and spread into an even layer using a spatula.
  7. Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
  8. Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and slice into 12 equal squares using a warm knife.
