Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Whiskey (Bourbon or Scotch work great!)
- 8 ounces (240 ml) Water, freshly boiled
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Honey (local honey is best, innit?)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 2-3 Whole Cloves
- Optional: Lemon wedge, star anise for garnish
Instructions:
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan or kettle.
- In your mug, combine whiskey, honey, and lemon juice.
- Pour the hot water into the mug.
- Stir well to dissolve the honey. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves.
- Garnish with a lemon wedge and/or star anise, if desired.
- Sip slowly and let the warmth do its magic! Enjoy responsibly this hot toddy.
