Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces (60 ml) Whiskey (Bourbon or Scotch work great!)
  • 8 ounces (240 ml) Water, freshly boiled
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Honey (local honey is best, innit?)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2-3 Whole Cloves
  • Optional: Lemon wedge, star anise for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan or kettle.
  2. In your mug, combine whiskey, honey, and lemon juice.
  3. Pour the hot water into the mug.
  4. Stir well to dissolve the honey. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves.
  5. Garnish with a lemon wedge and/or star anise, if desired.
  6. Sip slowly and let the warmth do its magic! Enjoy responsibly this hot toddy.
